SAN MARCOS ---- The city will hold its seventh annual antique fair and appraisals event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the San Marcos Community Center.
"Family Heirlooms and Attic Treasures" will feature 20 vendors selling antiques and collectibles, including pottery, linens, books, household items and furniture. Certified appraisers will be available from noon to 4 p.m. to give verbal estimates of the value of antiques or fine art pieces that people bring to the fair.
No fine jewelry will be appraised. Appointments are needed for appraisals of other items. Cost is $7 per item, with a maximum of three items per person.
The community center is at 3 Civic Center Drive. The center is within walking distance of the Sprinter's San Marcos Civic Center station.
