Kennedy, Barrowfield Potteries Stoneware Ginger Beer Bottle: Circa 1925 or before
This is a very nice British Ginger Beer Bottle with the natural stoneware at the base and brown coloring at the top. The coloring at the top on this one is a light but rich brown. The bottle is excellent in condition with no cracks, chips or the like and it is marked with an oval stamp. At the top of the oval is H. Kennedy/bottom is Glasgow/center is Barrowfield Potteries. It stands at 8 1/2 inches and is 3 inches in diameter at the base. The Barrowfield potteries were located in the East End of Glasgow. Ginger beer bottles were made by many companies in the Glasgow area, from the 1880s as the product was demand particularly in Canada and Cuba. The potteries were hit hard by WWI and the perception of glass being a more sanitary container lead to their decline. Barrowfield was closed in 1925."
Dan akhirnya, ketiga Botol Ekong Mansyur mendarat di etalase Kios engkong, ini cakep buat ente, Ujar Kong Mansyur, pulang memakai topi Onthel khas pejuang milik Kios Engkong. besok gua maen kemari lagi, bawa yang laen. Oke de Kong!
