Curious about estate jewelry? I was, so this past June, I visited the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry and Watch Show. Since I am not an expert in this field, I asked appraiser Charles Carmona of Guild Laboratories in Los Angeles about the market.
I learned that estate jewelry is pre-owned jewelry, regardless of its age. It is attractive to many buyers since one can recapture the style and manufacturing quality of "jewelry the way it used to be," often at a fraction of the cost of a newly manufactured piece.
